Hello,
I am still in the process of atoning for my building mistakes from 20 years ago.
Back then, I installed plastic windows with an oak-dark look.
Unfortunately, that no longer fits so well.
Is there a way to paint over these windows or something? (Only inside)
Thank you very much in advance.

That could be difficult... But in any case, you should first sand finely and then probably (no guarantee) use a 2k paint (PU/DD). Better get advice at a specialized paint store and not at OBI etc.

-> Wrong advice - double the work

Hi buddy,

You can really just sand down the window frames and then paint over them at least twice with a good paint. If I were you, I would go to a paint specialty store and get proper advice first. They will then give you the right stuff.

hi!
Nowadays, it is really no problem to repaint plastic windows.
You should first clean the frames thoroughly with warm water and dish soap. Then it is important to tape off the rubber seals and the glass. Next comes the primer: alpina unigrund. Apply thinly! Then paint 1-2 times. That's it!

Exactly, that’s how I would do it too. The important thing is that the surface is clean and primed. Then painting is no problem.
