Hello,

the company Ytong has quite nice houses. However, we don’t understand anything about it and neither can nor want to do it ourselves. But the company is currently advertising this. Is it that this is only an option for truly committed people? Or can/should one leave everything to them and they will then build a house where you could save up to 60,000 euros in own labor, so for 175,000 euros instead of 115,000 euros, and then have a real city villa?

What are the assessments on this, and the experiences?
Thank you very much!

... and then all the additional costs and other expenses are added:

Thank you. So one would have the mentioned city villa for 205,000 EUR. That is an unbeatable price. Or is there a catch?

Why for 205000 euros?

Hello Julia,

you can certainly build cheaply in various ways, even cheaper than is often calculated here in the forum. But for that to work, you must first know what you are getting into and have some expertise in the matter. For a first house as a layperson, that is not possible. If you don’t have this knowledge, it will go wrong. You can regularly see what that means on TV.

You have been asking questions here for many years and should have acquired a bit more knowledge by now.

For example, in 2016 you asked about experiences with a company that claimed to build about 20% cheaper than the other companies in your area. This company is now bankrupt. That is no coincidence. Presumably, that did not go without tears for one or another builder.

Better build not as before, or as almost everyone else here: with a local general contractor and with supervision by an expert before the first signature.

You won't get a house for 175,000.- nor for 115,000.- and definitely not for 205,000€. and certainly not a town villa. go to Town & Country or Heinz von Heiden and get advice on what a cheap house costs. there you get a Flair 113 + land + incidental costs for 150,000€.
