Hello everyone,
In my friend's hometown there is exactly one free building plot left.
Its orientation is really okay.
Corner plot.
Street to the south and west.
The only thing that bothers (why the plot is still free) is that directly across the street there is a farm.
So the distance is about 15 m.
Does anyone have experience with flies or something like that?

We love country life. But whether it is too much country for us I can't really estimate at the moment...

Has anyone built something similar and can share their experience?

Best regards

Phew, that is very, very close.

I would go there daily now and smell, there are screens on the window against flies.

For me, it would not be a reason not to build. Cows at least do not throw a party every other weekend. I do not remember the flies as being disturbing. Fly screens help with that. Calving can be loud sometimes.

I still need to add that in about 2 years there will be a new development area. But there the prices will probably be over €100 instead of the current €50 per sqm. The location there would also be top. Over the (still) open field

You summarize it well yourself. It seems to fit. I also live in the village and there are flies. And fly screens and fly strips.

Hi,
there was once a scientific study that children growing up around a farm (with cows!) are healthier and develop fewer allergies and especially respiratory diseases (asthma). It is supposed to be due to some excretions from the cows that are in the dust / in the air.
That would be an argument for it

I would stay away from pig farming!
