Hello everyone,
I will build a garage myself. The structural engineer is still working on it and I will receive his plans shortly.
I have already dealt with the foundation including the frost skirt and rented a 2.6t mini excavator for only ONE DAY next week.
I want to proceed as efficiently as possible. Here is my plan:

Good idea or any objections? Did I forget anything?
Regards,
Michael
I will build a garage myself. The structural engineer is still working on it and I will receive his plans shortly.
I have already dealt with the foundation including the frost skirt and rented a 2.6t mini excavator for only ONE DAY next week.
I want to proceed as efficiently as possible. Here is my plan:
[*]First, I would dig out the "trench" for the frost skirt and leave only one strip (yellow).
[*]Then I will also remove 15cm inside but leave a 30cm edge all around.
[*]My tipper can then dump the gravel onto the strip at the right place.
[*]After that, I will remove the remaining strip (yellow) with the excavator.
[*]Once the concrete skirt is poured, I only need to remove the 30cm edge inside (by hand) and can then fully spread the gravel. This way I save a second day of using the excavator.
Good idea or any objections? Did I forget anything?
Regards,
Michael
