Hello dear ones... first of all, thank you for accepting me. I would like to introduce myself briefly. My name is Ronja. I am married, have 2 sweet daughters, and live in a small village in Sachsen-Anhalt. We have been living in a house for over three years now, but unfortunately we are renting. Unfortunately, the landlord does not want to sell. We don’t want to rent forever, and finding a house here is a real challenge. So we see building as an alternative. We currently pay 1050 euros including heating monthly. Insurance etc. of course not included. The landlord also passes on all additional costs like property tax etc. to us. So additional costs are not unfamiliar to us. My God, what there is and above all what it costs. So far we have only read up on the internet. That new buildings nowadays should all somehow be energy efficient I have read very often now. Eco is something else though, especially when it comes to costs. Our budget is not unlimited. And my big dream is actually a round log house. So far I have not found a provider with reasonable prices. It all ranges between 2200 and 2600 euros per square meter. (Hiiifleeeee ) I really like eco-houses, especially clay. Is there anyone here who also plans to build like this or has already built like this? I would be very happy to receive answers. Best regards Ronja

Hello Ronja,

Was this agreed in writing that the property tax is chargeable?

Otherwise, welcome and enjoy at and on the HBF ...!

Rhenish greetings

Hello Ronja,
I don't know what you understand by eco. Our house is a log cabin from a well-known manufacturer that belongs to the higher-priced ones and we paid about 1500E/m2 with a lot of own work. But with that, everything inside was finished, outside only the rough work, e.g. dry stone wall to start the slope. We heat with wood pellets, triple glazing, etc. If you need names or anything, feel free to contact me via private message.
Regards

Well, that exact question I ask my husband and myself as well.... The owner is not obliged to any agreement. These are legalities that he of course welcomes. His luck was only the change of the management company. Because only with the new property management did the costs also come. They did their job well. Well, tough luck....

And your house looooks aaaaamazing....! <3
Eco is simply energy-saving, building with lots of natural materials, water treatment/recycling... etc. It all costs an unbelievable amount of money.
What does "a lot of personal effort" mean...?? My husband is not THE craftsman... Neither of us has any clue.
Yes, I have often read about heating with wood pellets and this triple gasification... However, also that these wood pellets should only be used as an addition to other heating options....
I once heard something about shaft ventilation and shaft heating. It runs via wood stoves and outside air. Have you ever heard of that? Whether that is compatible with such a round log house....?
Of course, I would be happy about recommendations of various companies.

I believe that I am not allowed to name our manufacturer here, therefore via personal message. These are not round logs for us, and why should the pellet heating alone not be sufficient?

Yes, I saw that these are not round logs... I was just dreaming again... Thanks for the PM. No, I don’t think it was about "sufficiency". More about the resource itself...? *think, think* But I have heard a lot of positive things about it, and many offer it nowadays.
