Bought a sandwich roof, got a different roof?

Hello everyone,

I have a question. In the construction description from the developer, it says that the house will have a roof made of sandwich panels. But when you look at the photos of the progress, no sandwich panels are being used.

At least that's how it looks to me. However, I am really not an expert here. The question now is whether someone can tell me what the roof construction is called if it is not a sandwich panel? Or can it also be called a sandwich like this?

Question 2: does this look correct?

As the last picture, an excerpt from the construction description about the execution of the roof.
Thanks to everyone!

Perfectly correct, in what way would you have imagined the sandwich panels differently?

Instead? I still need to write a few filler words...

Thank you. I would have expected a thick PIR rigid foam layer in the sandwich roof panels. However, I cannot see this in the pictures. To me, it looks much more like a (double) standing seam covering. Perhaps this is not a disadvantage. I would have just liked to have an assessment of it. Thank you

Hello,

according to the description, the black roof covering should be a sandwich panel. Whether it is a sandwich panel or just plain sheet metal I cannot tell from the pictures. But even if it is a sandwich panel, it is at most 20-30 mm thick, so max 30 mm insulation.

Which brings me to my actual question: What kind of strange roof construction is this? Where is the insulation? The roof purlins are made as steel beams and apparently not insulated further on the outside. Doesn’t this create a perfect thermal bridge? The beams go down to or even into the ceiling construction.

Best regards,

Andreas

Why? That is not stated in the construction description. The sandwich panels are only a replacement for the roof tiles. The insulation is definitely done in another way. Normal steel frame construction. That is perfectly fine as it is.
