Hello, we built almost 5 years ago, which means the warranty is just about to expire.... And as luck would have it, the trouble is starting.... We have the problem that our drain has been clogged for almost two years and especially that it gurgles very loudly from the drain, both when water drains and when the dishwasher is running. I have attached a picture showing how the pipes run. Since we are not making progress with our plumber who built it, we have now turned to another one who told us that the work was botched. He says it gurgles because a vent for the "kitchen circuit" is missing. Of course, the one who built it claims to know nothing about this and now we are clueless and unsure who is right. Does anyone have experience with this and in our case is a vent really necessary or not? I would be very grateful for opinions. Regards Isabel

Hello,

just search for "Rohrbelüfter" (available from 32-125mm).
You can also insert them into the kitchen drain afterwards.
T-piece, the vent on top and the sink siphon from the front or side.

It works quite well for us.

All drainage pipes that run at least to the upper floor must be effectively ventilated. Just like in your guest WC.

So this "mushroom" vent for venting, the guy who built it already tried it, he installed it under the sink on the drain pipe.... Still gurgles, didn’t help at all..... But he still sent us a fat bill :-(.

Is there maybe some regulation, guideline, I don’t know.... that states that in our case a vent to the roof should have been installed? Then I could hold that under his nose and demand a correction.....

Maybe one could run a pipe from the dishwasher connection along the wall over to the guest bathroom pipe and "make" a pipe into the wall... would that be enough or do they have to tear everything up from the kitchen all the way to the roof?

Oh man, what crap!!!!

Guys, pay attention to the vent pipes to the roof when building!!! It was our first house, you just don’t know yet and don’t know what to look out for.....
