Hello everyone,

Does anyone have experience with the color change of birch parquet and Hevea (rubber tree)? Does birch get much darker over time? Which wood can the darkening of birch be compared to, sugar maple, Canadian maple? Unfortunately, I have not found any color samples for color change of birch anywhere. I read somewhere that Hevea tends to get lighter, is that true? Thanks in advance for the answers!

Hello Leuleu

Attached I am sending you two links and the answers to your questions.

    [*]Birch (Lat. Betula)
    [*]Family: Birch family (Lat. Betulaceae)
[*]Size: Birches can grow up to 30 m tall. The trunk can reach a circumference of around 5 m.
    [*]Felling age: 60 - 80 years
[*]Origin of the wood for Kährs birch floors: Sweden
[*]Hardness: about 25 % softer than oak. Brinell value: 2.6
[*]Color change: moderate. The light creamy color of the birch gradually turns into a honey-yellow over time.
[*]By the way: The birch has a high sugar content. A vitamin C-rich tea can be made from the leaves of the birch and its buds are edible. When it comes to survival, the birch is among the 14 most important wild plant species
