Baukindergeld - which tax assessments?

Hello everyone,

somehow I am not getting any wiser with my internet search and thought I would just turn to you. We are expected to move into our house on 01.09.2021. We received the building permit for it on 13.04.2020. Our average household income according to tax assessments in the years 2019 and 2018 is just over 90,000. The question that arises for me is, if we were to submit the application only in 2022, would the household income of the years 2020 and 2019 apply or is the time of moving in relevant?

To my knowledge, you must submit the application no later than 6 months after moving in. That would be Feb 22 for you. Then the decisions from 19 and 20 would be relevant.
