Hello,
during our house renovation, a new Bette Free was installed. As usual, water was let in and the tub was leveled. The water was supposed to stay in while the tiler did his work around it, to protect the enamel from adhesive and falling objects. But a bit of dirt from drilling had accumulated. In short, water was drained to remove the dirt! We then noticed that the water does not drain completely. After various discussions between the installer, wholesaler, and manufacturer, I was asked to pour cola into the tub. Bette then wanted a photo. You can see how the cola drains, and then a residue remains around the drain, with a circular white ring of enamel protruding from the cola just before the drain edge. According to this picture, Bette claims it is a transport or handling damage. Since the tub was inspected with the utmost care upon delivery and also on the day of installation, and there were no dents or scratches, we cannot accept this statement. I mean, the tub consists of 3 - 3.5 mm thick deep-drawn steel; anyone who has dealt with metal construction knows that this means something. Otherwise, a man weighing 90 kg could only float in the tub. I am looking for someone who has already dealt with this issue or had a similar problem. I am currently looking for an expert; I am really angry at Bette, their service is zero. They don’t even have the decency to come out.
