Hello dear home builders... :o

I have a very important question, because I first wanted to ask if maybe some of you here are familiar with this:

If you have a disability ID card, I have read that depending on the severity and the individual case, you receive different financial support if you want to renovate a bathroom for the respective circumstance!

Does anyone here perhaps know about this or have experience with it? It would be very important for us, as the affected person or we have problems with it. We have an old shower that the person has to step into every time, but it is always extremely difficult for them and for us who help.

I would be happy to receive information and answers.

I think the topic is too specific for this forum. Why not just google it? ... if I enter the keywords, then I get various pages listed that will help you further :)

Take a look at Kfw for barrier-free renovations, there are either low-interest loans or recently also grants of up to 10% - a certificate is not even necessary for that..

Otherwise, check out the authorities, maybe there’s still something to be found there.

Good luck,

B.

Hello,

As already correctly stated, there are funding programs through the NRW.Bank, but the health insurance companies also contribute to the renovation costs. Therefore, I would advise you to first talk to your health insurance company and then consult a good financial advisor, if still necessary. Another step would be to contact consumer advice services; the staff there can provide helpful information.
