Hello everyone,

yesterday our foundation slab was concreted. In the evening, we saw that our construction power was still not disconnected because there was apparently a problem with the cable in the sidewalk. The question we have is, how did they manage to vibrate the concrete even though there was no power. Is there another way to do that, or did they just have a "devil may care" attitude?

I would be grateful for any tips;)

Or they did not vibrate the slab.....is not really a big deal for a slab. Also experienced: making concrete flow long and pumping slowly.... I did not vibrate my slab (private) either. Strip footings are not vibrated either.

If the concrete was not "vibrated" (compacted), the concrete is improperly installed. The purpose of compaction is to create a dense concrete structure and reduce air pores. Proper compaction is especially essential for the durability of reinforced concrete (and most foundations and floor slabs are made of reinforced concrete).
