Good day. This point is also not entirely clear to me. I have already researched a lot on Google... Our balcony faces east and south. It is not covered. It is built on steel beams and a light granite slab SBS. Now I have read that in front of the balcony door there must be a kind of "drip edge," so that in the event of a "hundred-year rain" it does not flow through the balcony door. But I do not see this. May I complain about this? Thank you very much!

Will you tell us the height difference between the top edge of the balcony floor covering and the top edge of the door threshold with the balcony door open? (This is the highest point of the door frame. When you walk in and out, you usually catch on it. :) )

Is there a step on the balcony? I do not know it, as the balcony is usually accessed via a threshold

Keyword flat roof guideline and DIN 18195. Without a drainage channel, without a canopy, at least a 15 cm high threshold. If the threshold is lower, special measures are required, e.g. a drainage channel, then you are allowed to go down to 5 cm.

Barrier-free would be anything under 2 cm ... So it requires particularly careful planning!

If linking were allowed here ... but with the mentioned keywords, you should find what you're looking for.

Hello.
So, the difference is about 6 cm!
Is that okay, or should there be a drainage channel in front of the balcony door?
Thank you
