Hello friends,
our house construction is in full swing. We are building 2 floors plus an attic. Knee wall at 1.80m. The attic partly lies over the bedroom, partly over the children's room. Our part will probably be used as storage space, the part over the children's room is intended to be used long-term as an additional room for the children's room when our little one gets older. We want to lay oak parquet in the house and in our imagination it should also be like that in the attic. Now it is so that the ceiling of the second floor will not be a concrete ceiling, but made of wood. Now everyone says we should, due to impact sound in the attic, use carpet instead of parquet. We hate carpets. Do you have any ideas how we could lay parquet on a wooden floor in the attic without being able to hear every step in the floor below?
