attic flooring

Hi @ll,

Next week our house will finally be erected :-)
Since we only have beams on the floor in the attic, our crane operator offered that if we provide flooring, he will lift it up for us at the same time.
What do you recommend for boards or panels? And especially how thick?
It will only be a storage room, will never be developed, with a height of 1.20m that would also be very difficult :-)

Please send photos of how you saw the wood lying on a beam:D. Or is it supposed to go only up to the [OG]?

Otherwise, use tongue and groove boards, thickness about 2 cm.

Huh? Why should I take pictures there? You misunderstood something!

I'll add a link with the ceiling structure, hope that works. However, we are missing the top panel and that's exactly what I need... Do I have to consider anything regarding sufficient ventilation of the insulation material? The attic itself is not insulated.

Tongue and groove boards don't mean anything to me right now either, but the guys at the hardware store will know.

Rauspund are boards without tongue and groove. Not nice, but cheap.

Insulation material doesn’t actually need to be ventilated. Additionally, a certain forced ventilation occurs since you probably won’t reach the rearmost sloped area with your flooring.

you are right about that, cutting any panels at a standing height of 1.20m won’t be so easy, but we’ll manage it :-)
