Hello,

I want to attach an existing real glass panel measuring 119 cm x 68 cm and 4 mm thick as a coat rack backing on a drywall (with an OSB board underneath). It is intended to be a coat rack for children's jackets. The glass panel has no drilled holes.

What would be best suited to securely attach the glass panel? How many holders would you suggest? The panel should hang as close to the wall as possible.

Are there hooks that can be attached to the glass wall as clothes hooks without drilling?

Thank you

Best regards

Should the glass panel stand on the floor, or at what height should the panel be installed? The 119 cm vertically or horizontally?

There are coat hooks that can be glued to glass. Henkel, for example, offers Pattex Kraft Mix Extrem Schnell for this purpose.

For mounting the panel, one could consider attaching it using rebated wooden strips. Gluing is also possible, but has the disadvantage that if the panel breaks for some reason (a crack, for example), it is not so easy to remove it again.

Plate should hang on the wall. 119 cm horizontal. Starting approximately 60 cm above the floor.

Then it would make sense to attach the panel to the wall using battens with a rebate made of any wood, as I have already written. It can be done quickly and without much effort. If I am unclear, I can gladly sketch it for you tomorrow.
