Hello everyone,

a new residential area will be planned with us soon. We would like to build a single-family house (no basement) and buy a plot of land there. I have concerns about the plots because of the slope and the unpredictable costs for earthworks/stabilization. So far, I have only measured with Google Earth and would estimate that Google Earth is now relatively accurate?! The single-family house plots are located in the north and east. I placed the preliminary concept over the terrain in Google Earth and wanted to attach the file as a KMZ here, which apparently is not allowed. So here is the link and a photo attached.

I would appreciate your opinion about the slope of the plots. Also, which plot you consider particularly good is welcome.

About building on a slope: best with an architect who includes the slope, for example as a basement plus a floor. A standard house from a general contractor is less suitable there. And yes: a house on a slope will be more expensive than conventional house construction.

What is the image supposed to depict: a property development exposé transparently overlaid on a field with a solar plantation? The decision "with or without a basement" is not solely up to you; the property has a say – the more slope, the louder.
