Hello everyone,
We are about to buy an existing house. During the previous viewings, the comparatively low energy consumption was always praised, but now that I have concrete numbers, honestly, I expected it to be even lower.
The house was built in 1983, stone on stone. 196 sqm living space, so quite a huge place. The main living areas have underfloor heating, there is a relatively large finished room above the garage connected to the upper floor, and the basement rooms have radiators.
In 2011, the old heating system was replaced by a heat pump.
The owner says he had heating electricity costs of 3200 euros last year. He calculated that if he had switched to another provider with a better tariff, he would have paid 2800, but because of the planned move, he didn’t bother any further.
There is a photovoltaic system with a storage unit, and the provider currently only allows the use for household electricity. This is supposed to be changed "soon," and any amount that is currently not self-used despite the storage can still be used as heating electricity, so the bills should decrease again.
What do you think about the consumption?
Regards,
Tobi
