Dear Ikea fans,

I have fulfilled my dream of a Pax wardrobe. The wardrobe is standing, unfortunately without doors.

The Mehamn sliding doors consist of 4 squares each, which are attached to a rail. Between each square is a strip that has a rail for the square. And that’s where it stops. I can’t get the square into the rail at all, and if I do, only with great force. In the end, all 4 squares are inside, but it doesn’t fit at all.

I’m doing something wrong, but I can’t figure out what.
I really hope to find a specialist here who can easily tell me where the mistake is.

Thank you very, very much in advance for your feedback.

Best regards,
Grir

Hello, just take one panel and one rail in your hand. Can the panel then be inserted into the rail? If not, is there a protective film on the panel?

Hello! I have exactly the same problem. There are plastic guides in the rails for the panels. Does anyone know if you have to "thread" the panels into the guides? For now, I just pressed the panels against them and now I have the impression that this prevents the panels from being able to screw the doors together in the end...

How did it work for you?

Thanks for any help!!

Hello,
I also have this problem.
The panels, type Mehamn, cannot be inserted into the metal rails because there is a rubber seal with 2 lips in the rails. I removed the seal as a test, then it works but now the cabinet rattles because the panels do not fit tightly.
Does anyone have an idea?

The problem does not seem to be entirely unknown, here:

Ikea hackers.net/2016/08/add-pax-sliding-doors-woodwork.HTML

a solution with tension straps is shown under point 6. But beware - if you pull too hard, the panels could also be damaged.

Some silicone spray might also help.
