Hello fans.
I have ordered a Metod kitchen and will assemble it myself soon. I would like to use the profile rail for the wall cabinets. Can the wall cabinets be slid into the rail from the side, or do they have to be hung from above? The reason is that I would like the wall cabinets to be flush with the ceiling at the very top, at most 3-5 mm lower, so that the doors can be opened without obstruction. I imagine that hanging them from above requires more space to the ceiling. I look forward to a reply. By the way, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Hello I think 3-5mm is too little. The hook on the cabinet that hangs into the rail, I believe, is already 5mm or even more. It was not possible for me to simply slide the wall cabinets in the rail; I always had to lift them slightly to be able to slide them. For me, the wall cabinets are now about 2.5cm away from the ceiling; it might be possible to have them a bit less, but I believe 3-5mm will not work. Alternatively, you could try mounting the wall cabinets at about 1.6cm and then install a 1.6cm thick cover strip between the cabinet and the ceiling on top. That will certainly look quite good, and then you wouldn't have any gap at the top at all. I definitely wish you good success. Best regards Section chief
