Hello,

we have a small area behind the house that we have always considered a stepchild until now. A concrete path from grandma's times, running across the meadow. Removing the whole path means an enormous effort, so of course I am looking for easier alternatives. One of them would be to cover this path with artificial grass, or turf carpet. Visually certainly not a masterpiece, but better than this gray block. I am now just wondering what disadvantages this could have in the long run and whether this thing will hold up?

Thank you for your answers

HI!

So theoretically the idea sounds good: lawn on concrete! But I also cannot imagine that it works in practice! When it rains, the moisture definitely accumulates, the water cannot drain, and this certainly has anything but a positive effect on the [Fertigrasen]. ;)

Best regards,
sennor :)

As for the carpet-like artificial grass, I have now been told that it is indeed a bad idea. When water accumulates, it inevitably leads to slipperiness and thus there is a risk of slipping.

But there is still this other one. The coarse one with plastic bristles... that one shouldn't be so slippery, right?
