Arrangement of spots in the bathroom

We are currently planning the spotlights in the bathroom. Now the question arises at what distance the spotlights above the washbasin (50 cm depth) should be placed from the wall to ensure good lighting and to prevent the shadow of one's own head.

With spotlights, you often get shadows, even when they are close together. I would rather install a surface light / LED panel in the bathroom. But you can also install a lamp on the mirror cabinet that illuminates the area below.

The higher the ceiling, the greater the distance can be. I would avoid direct shadows in a straight line of sight on the mirror - you can try this with a flashlight on a stick with two people to get a feel for it. Even more important than the distance are the emission angles, uniformity, and light color. Use 120° with frosted glass in 2700K or 3000K - models.
