Hello. We are supposed to get PVC drain pipes in the bathrooms. Are they still up-to-date nowadays or are there more robust drain pipes?

The red ones are for outdoor use, not hot water resistant. The gray ones are for indoor use, hot water resistant. The gray ones are made of polypropylene, the red ones of polyvinyl chloride. Gilded ones do not exist. Karsten

Theoretically, many still have sound-dampened versions in the program. However, this is less of an issue in single-family house construction. The gray one is also completely sufficient.

An installation with sound decoupling is important.

Good morning

As soil pipes, especially through non-utility / technical rooms, it is already an issue.

They fall rather less... rather where it splashes down again.

But rarely do downpipes run through bedrooms. Only then is the sound-decoupled installation sufficient.

I personally only know of So silent pro or other similar things from very special building projects; like hospitals or hotels.
