Are moisture-proof lights mandatory in the laundry room and basement?

Hello,

I am currently renovating our basement.
In the course of this, new lights are to be installed in the laundry room and the hobby room. At the moment, there are simple fluorescent tubes on the ceiling, probably not suitable for damp rooms.
The new lights are to be mounted on the wall; the basement ceiling will be insulated.

Is it necessary to have damp room lights (IP65?) specifically in the laundry room, or will simple tube lights without IP certification suffice there?

In the hobby room, it probably doesn’t matter, right?

Best regards
Sukram

Will it get wet there? Probably not. So it is not a wet room. In normal houses without a basement, the laundry room is called utility room and is also not a wet room. Karsten

Well, it doesn't get wet in the bathroom either, yet moisture-proof lights have to be installed there, or am I completely off the mark?

A bathroom itself is not really a wet room in a single-family house. However, there are zones around the shower and bathtub where IP44 (splash water) or IP65 (jet water) or even higher is required.

But there are also areas in the bathroom where nothing of the sort is necessary. Just google "Schutzbereiche für die Anwendung von Leuchten im Badezimmer."

Public baths or communal showers; these are wet rooms.

I see it the same way. In the bathroom, for example, there has to be a moisture-proof lamp directly above the shower, but definitely not above the sink mirror. There you also have a normal open socket.

Now that you have brought up the keyword "Installationszonen," it has clicked. Moisture-resistant lights must always be installed only in these special areas. I had completely forgotten that. So it should be no problem to use normal lights without an IP certificate in a laundry room. Thank you for your help.
