Good morning everyone, we will be building with Town & Country (HIS) in Brandenburg in January. We will be installing a Rotex hpsu compact 516 air-to-water heat pump. Who of you already has experience with this device? How much does your machine consume? Could you please share some information? Should we pay attention to anything before the construction? Is it possible to add something extra? Our house: Flair Duo 180 sqm (granny flat) Underfloor heating

The device is nothing special, just browse the internet. Consumption then depends more on your insulation, ventilation, and especially the design of the underfloor heating. The internet and this forum already have thousands of entries on this as well.

Is there already a room-by-room heating load calculation? Have you already set your desired temperatures per room? The supply temperature should not exceed 30 degrees and there should be no buffer in the heating circuit. Has the hot water storage tank size already been determined?

With all these data, the size of the heat pump is determined. It is important not to oversize the heat pump, but it should fit your consumption quite precisely. Then you get an efficiently running heat pump.

If you look around, the only advice you can give yourself is to get involved in the planning yourself and not just let the heating engineer fumble.

hey thank you very much for your reply. we haven't done anything yet. The heating load was calculated by the company. Since we have little knowledge about this topic, I thought I could get some help here. Thanks in advance

If I looked correctly at Rotex, the smallest version has 11kW. From my perspective, that is too much for the size of the house.

Have you ever had the heating load calculation in your hands, or did the heating engineer just tell you it was done? You wouldn't be the first case where there isn't one.

No, I didn’t have it in my hands, I was just told.
