Adjust tall cabinet division (microwave)

as you can see in the picture, we want to have MW and BO side by side. Is the lower combination possible? The MW is 45cm high, we would like to place a 10cm drawer above the lower drawers (2x40cm), then a 5cm panel, and only then install the MW. Is this somehow possible?

According to the assembly instructions, the tall cabinet carcass is fairly flexible (the shelf on which the MW stands can be moved up/down). The same should apply to the drawer. How are panels actually attached, do you have to cut them yourself, are there rails for fastening or is it done with glue?

Has anyone gone through a similar "improvisation" with Metod Ikea?

There is the HELANDE panel, which comes with a fastening, or with the smooth Ringhult front, a 20 cm high drawer front can also be shortened to 15 cm (have it done).

I haven't even thought about shortening a 20cm drawer yet However, we have Veddinge white. You can probably shorten it, but I hope the cut won't be visible from the outside...

It should be a good saw blade and I wouldn't do it with a jigsaw either. The fronts have a bevel on the edges. Therefore, you will be able to see the cut. But at €6 for the front, you can just give it a try.
