Hello everyone,
I hope this is the right group, otherwise I kindly ask to move the thread to the correct group.
In December 2010, we concluded a purchase contract with our developer (BL Hessen), who assured us a turnkey house (everything except wallpapering and flooring). Now the shell is finally up and the roof is supposed to be covered next week.
However, today we received an information letter from our developer stating that since 01.07.11 it is mandatory due to new DIN regulations to install and bond the vapor-permeable underlayment boards with self-adhesive strips during roof covering work, and furthermore a fastening of the roof tiles is necessary.
By googling, I was at least able to find out that the fastening has been necessary since 01.03. and is also highly recommended.
What annoys us, however, is that our developer is charging us the additional costs (€1,100).
Is this even legally allowable? Shouldn’t he have known these regulations already in December? Does anyone of you have experience with this?
Best regards
Pumuckl
