Hello everyone. I'm brand new here and actually just have one question. We want to get a wood log heating system. That is already certain. However, we are now considering whether we should also have an additional connection for an oil heating system installed later. In case we might not have the strength later to lift the wood logs in there. :) What do you think? The wood log heating system is definitely coming into the house.

A wood heating system is definitely a good decision. Now, I don’t know how old you are. I guess you are still relatively young. But why are you already worrying about what will happen in 30 years? So much can still happen, and just wait to see how the prices develop.

Once it is decided that the wood heating system will be installed in the house, it makes little sense to install an oil heating system now. Who knows what oil prices will be like in 10 years. Maybe there will be completely different alternatives by then. Approach the whole thing calmly and patiently.

I think so too, and a wood heating system is good. I have also had one installed. Additionally, a fireplace, and that is the right heat source now in winter.

What it is like in old age, I do not know yet and I have few thoughts about it.

The moment counts.

Good, but long-term planning is not bad at all. Eventually, old age does come. I like the wood heating and I also operate one. Later, I will also switch to oil because the prices are really very low.

Your considerations may be correct. But investing now and using it in many years, I think little of that. But everyone has to decide for themselves.
