Hello everyone,

we have been facing a problem for some time. Since I am not making any progress, I am hoping for help from this/our great forum.

We want to hang thick curtains/drapes in the living room, partly for aesthetic reasons and partly in hopes of improving the room acoustics.

We would like to hang the curtains at points B and C and then pull them apart from there if needed. So towards A and D, and of course, also be able to close them between B and C.
At B and C, the curtain would have to be able to be pulled around the corner. The only option I know for this is a ceiling track.
But that brings us to the next problem.

We have a continuous cove (drywall) installed. It is, of course, not designed to have anything hung from it.
So the mounting has to take place in the wall. However, we also have roller shutters everywhere, so the roller shutter box sits above the windows. This protrudes so much that, looking at the construction photos, there is only about 5 cm of space left before the cove starts.
Therefore, the only possible mounting options are to the left and right next to the windows. That means a length of more than 3 meters to be spanned towards the back.
Together with the "pulling around the corner," I have not yet found a way to make this possible.

I hope someone here has already solved a similar problem or perhaps has a tip.

Thanks and regards

I think you need an interior decorator who can create something custom-made for you
