Hello,

I have a problem. Last week I bought a BIRMNES bed 160x200 (I wish I had bought one in 140 width). I also bought a mattress in 160x200, but the first one was too hard and the second one is now soft, except in the middle where I basically feel the "middle beam." I mostly sleep alone in the bed and prefer to sleep in the middle. I fear that this problem will remain with two slatted frames measuring 80x200 each, since the frame in the middle does not give. Do you see it the same way? Should I try to replace the slatted frames? Do you have any other tips?

Thank you very much

Best regards

A bit late, but maybe it will still be read. :)

The problem is not the slatted frame, it is the wrong mattress, it is obviously too soft for your weight. With the right mattress, you don't feel a middle beam, neither with a continuous nor a divided slatted frame.
Therefore, I would invest the money in a good mattress and not in a monstrously bulky slatted frame, your spine will thank you and when moving, you save yourself the tedious disassembly.

Best regards
