Hello everyone! We want to build a semi-detached house with 6 rooms and 150 sqm living space (plus basement & terrace) in a new development area. The new development area slopes slightly. The ridge height is relatively low at 9.00 m for a semi-detached house. The building plot is very large (8x12 meters). Possible options are plot A facing southeast with a 1.85 m rise from the street to the end of the garden, and plot B perpendicular to it (garden facing southwest) with a 1 meter height difference from the left to the right property boundary. We actually prefer plot A. Currently, we have four concepts for which we would like to hear your opinions. The concepts are easiest to understand with the attached sketches. (1) Plot A, House size: 7.75 m x 10.25 m Ground floor at street level, allowing an attic studio above the upper floor, significant removal of the slope behind the house (probably very expensive!) (2) Plot A, House size: 8.00 m x 11.00 m 85 cm plinth, garden slightly leveled, no residential attic studio possible, attic studio possibly as basement replacement, due to larger footprint all rooms can be accommodated on the ground & upper floors (3) Plot A, House size: 7.75 m x 10.25 m 190 cm plinth, instead of attic studio living space in the basement on the street side, garden leveled, house entrance either by stairs (visually not so appealing) or on the house side through the basement (entrance in the basement, also not the perfect solution) (4) Plot B House size: 7.75 m x 10.25 m House concept as in (1), but no removal of the slope necessary. The neighboring semi-detached house is then slightly offset downward because a different reference point applies for the maximum ridge height (see sketch) Many thanks in advance for your comments Peter

So personally, I prefer plot B. Not so enclosed and the better orientation. Is there only the one possibility to build a semi-detached house here?

Of the house variants, I would choose variant 2. We have a terraced house with 4 floors here. You always have to climb stairs and the individual floors feel more cramped. The 2-floor and attic variant will surely be more spacious. Besides that, I don’t like the "holes" in the terrain that are supposed to partially occur.

Are there also floor plans for the individual variants?
