Hello,

we want to build a lightweight wall made of 8x6 cm KVH studs, sheathed with 12 mm OSB and 12.5 mm gypsum board.

Should I now fill the space in between (8 cm) completely with 8 cm thick mineral wool or, for example, only with 60 mm? What provides more sound insulation between the rooms? Or does it not matter?

Hi. I would rather use the metal profiles. These are 100% straight. That is always a bit of an issue with wood. I myself would generally put in 80mm insulation wool. The price differences are in the small euro range.
